some of you might remember me moaning about whats the point in added to our saxos

after much sould searching ive found my personal answer

you see i kinds just fell towards saxos what with them being the hot hatch that they are

but the other day i was at the garage and daw a car that i couldnt stop looking at i was in love there and then i wanted one

the urge for old cars has crept up on me with me liking the character more and more

so i am seriusly considering getting an old VW beetle and doind it hot rod stylee even with the possibility of putting a porsche engine in it

so there you go my good rasnt over

what you reckon lol:oops:

true,
plus with older cars, theyre always needing silly stuff done to them.

+ theyre old.

+ it'll be dog slow (if its like some 1.3)

+ have you got an insurance quote on a custom beetle, with a custom paint job with a custom Porsche engine fitted?

:p

I love em!! They're awesome!! Subaru engine is a lot easier than porsche engine. Porsche engine is huge amounts of work and is to heavy! Even a NA Subaru engine is gunna make it a rapid car!

It's actually a great idea, go for it.

I was doing up a 1978 Dolomite Sprint until the project got binned following a barn collapse - search if you are interested. Older cars will have a rarity value, and dependent on what route you take, the owner's clubs are usually very supportive - just don't ask bone questions on their forums though, some people take it very seriously.

If it's an old Beetle, consider going as old as possible, then look at either the Baja Buggy conversion or for a real challenge go down the concours route.

Whatever you choose - good luck.

V.

And as to the other question -

can you have a mid life crisis at 22? lmao

Yes, but only if you die at 44.

We had a black one in the family for years i realy like them and know just where your coming from when you talk about character sounds daft but i even liked the way it smelt like a proper carie (new word) smell. 1970 beetle airfreshener ftw lol

wouldt mind a 2.8 capri brooklands one day myself :y:
