Failed MOT! :O

Yeah I took her in the other day for its MOT thinking it might just fail on emissions. I was wrong. :( they found rust on the suspension mounting which needs get welded up, but worst of all, they say they is play in the rear axle!


I've been thinking, is it better to try and find a new axle or replace the bushing?

Either way its going cost some dollar, so annoyed as i've just replaced wheel bearings, cambelt, a driveshaft, a wishbone and got a new exhaust system.

Only had her bout four month!

Yeah its a good runner mate got 69500 on the clock on an r reg, so its not done too many, just not been looked after that well, just going have to spend on it and get it perfect. vtrs get thrashed :/

ye enit. i think to get your beam refurbed is it around 250 or somin.

change the bushes mate get uprated one if you change the axle still only gonna have same issues down the line if your gonna keep it just change the bushes then you know its done and sorted

pick decent rear beam from scrappy cheaper than all that and do it yourself easy

mine had the same problem with the axle earlier this year, axle cost me £150 from salvage, i needed new bearings aswell and they wer about £105 and £100 to fit it all problem solved :D the quote from citroen for the rear axle was close to £1200 so i wouldent go there ;)
