Usually it's about a 2 - 500% markup on the normal premium. That is ifyou can get insured, most mainstream companies will not touch you. Try a broker or a company that specialises in insuring convicted drivers.
Next time, have a lemonade.

anything above £600 for insurance on a car is a rip off for me... so thought 2k was a reasonable assumtion :)
ok i reckon £4k

I reckon probably 2.5K if going through an insurance broker who don't mind convicted drivers. I think all insurance in this country is a rip off tbh:p

at least 3 grand on a VTR.
My advice, sell it and by a 1 litre heap for a few years.

I'm guessing 3k aswell, simply because of your age and convictions.

I think you might be looking at a big fat no quote lol!!! nah you will get insured but probs have to be something really slow, or you might be like alot of my mates who got banned for that and half of the jammy gets ended up getting quotes cheaper than me on some fast cars??? dont ask i dont know how they done it either it stinks but thats insurance for you only way you will find out for sure is when you ring up the companies mate good luck..

its a company that finds insurance on your behalf but doesnt provide the actual insurance. and 4k for insurance is a joke. get a bike and dont pay that..

you're willing to pay 4k? thats unreal.. your premium will be worth more than your vtr?

but you've survived without driving till now surely dude?
My mate got bummed for moving his car from one spot of a small car park to another whilst pissed, unlucky, but incredibly daft of him.
Anyway he had a year ban, and as i understand it the conviction stayed on record for 3 years... so he didnt bother driving for 3 years then reapplied.
my advice would be to do the same, you'll be used to not having a car so get used to it a bit more until the quotes are much better, or get a cheaper car to insure.

stays on license for 10/11 years depending when you commited the crime,
so unless your wanna walk for 10/11 years get a shitty fiesta and get some no claims.
also how the fook did you get a 9mth ban? compulsory disqualification is 12mths for first offence and 3yrs for 2nd, and most likely jail time for 3rd

4 years for the second time^^^^^. you can get a choice to do a alcohol awareness course that knocks some time off your ban and also your insurance. thats how he`s a 9month ban. they knock 3month off for doing the course. i assume thats what he`s done.

Yea i took awarness course , ! , so they took 25 % off ,
