Was anyone off here at lakeside last night near the shopping centre? I was told about this massive street racing type event on a saturday evening.

Any way I decided to go with a mate and check it out. So glad I did- It was amazing.

Saw a Ferrari (think it ws a 435 or something) having it out with a Lamborghini Giardo, some rich snob in a Maclaren SLR, a mad guy on a R6 who was doing hand stands on his fuel tank whilst travelling at stupid speeds. Also saw a few guys drifting which was pretty cool. And the odd 2.0 Nova, plety of highly kitted Scoobies, skylines, cosworths, and some old school cars like this guy drifiting a stripped out mrk 1 Escort with roll cage and the full beans!

Now I wasnt taking part cause dont think its right- Im not fan of street racing and believe it should be left to a track- I was purely there to see what all the fuss was about. By WOW was it good. NO POLICE either. Couldn't believe it.

I'll get the story in a sec, but a everyone parked on the curb on basildon strip last sat or something got 3 points and a 60 pound fine, said in a local paper.

didnt go basidon strip thank god lol. The one I went too was by lakeside shopping centre.
