Ive just refitted all my standard interior as Im looking to return my saxo from a Single seater to a car thats more sellable.

Anyway when I was refitting my interior I found that my rear seat belts had recoiled and locked themselves making them unable to be refitted. I tried everything from lightly pulling to yanking with all my might but the bloody strap wouldn't move and seems to be locked.

I could get a second hand set out another car but Id rather use what I got

Has anybody every had this problem and what did they do

Thank you :clapping:

i've had this problem before (not on a saxo tho), there is normally a latch or some form of catch mechanism that pops in or out and needs to be pressed, in order for the cog mechanism to be released for you to be able to pull the belt back out.

without looking at one myself, i can't really give much more detail, but that is how they normally work.

you could also try going to a local garage and see what they say, more than likely they could advise you how to do it yourself and therefore wont charge you.

hope that helps in some way.

Cheers mate, couldnt see a catch as it all looks totally inclosed to me, but I'll see if I can get to a Citroen garage and see what they have to say.

Anyone else had this problem?

This happened to me, tried all sorts and was just putting them back in to give up and then at the correct angle (like they would be if they were fitted) and they released!!!

Hope this makes sense and actually works :)

swings and roundabouts mate, the single seater track slag was fun and to be honest 10x's the fun of a standard interior'd car but running two cars and using the underground for work just meant both cars where sitting doing nothing for almost 5whole days, so I desided to go with a standard interior with a spot of colour . . .
