Ok,

My car is at the garage and it's had a new drive shft fitted. The mechanic told me on the phone the my front nearside wheel was hanging off!

He said this was because the wheel nuts are the wrong ones for the wheel that I have. I have 15" oz super t's. I always thought the wheel nuts changed per vehicle and not per wheel?

I've looked at wheels nuts online and can only see then by car make and not wheel make. Can you get them by what make of wheel you have?

Thanks

It depends on the wheels mate, because the part of the wheel the nut sits on to could be flat or curved.

You need to match to wheel and to car as well, best thing to do is speak to the garage and find out exactly why they are wrong. They might tell you the standard saxo ones are flat and you need curved ones for the wheels you have, so you could then pop to local motor factors and buy a set, or 4.

Are the standard wheel bolts flat or curved? The garage have said that they are wrong for the wheels. I have OZ Superturismos. Anyone know what sort of bolts I need?

Cheers

if you cant find the wheelnut, just weld the wheels on tbh :y:

stick your finger in the wheel n go to halfords n get a nut to fit:)

Easiest way would be to take one of the bolts out and put your finger in to the hole and see if it curves in like so.. / \ . This would be a tappered style bolt. Or if its not like that then it will be a flat style bolts that you need! :y:

Aftermarket wheels often take a different sized wheel bolt.
When I changed the wheels on my Vtr the replacements (TSWs) came with different bolts!

Are your wheels a straight fit or do they use spacers?

Cheers for the replies people. I went to midlands wheels as recommended by pug1off. Sorted now!
