Im having my first tattoo for xmas. Its a tribal with some celtic art in the middle at the top of my arm flicking down near my elbow and either abit on my chest or one little slither on my neck.

ive got a tribal thing over my sholder blades, the best way to discribe the pain is like someone holding a lighter on your skin and just lettin it burn, couldnt lay on it for weeks as they couldnt do it all in one sitting so had to let the 1st bit heal then get the next stage done.

It's a completely different experience having a tattoo cos you can't even see the needle unless you really look. All it is, is a burning sensation and it's really not that bad until you get to bony areas like your lower back for instance :p

ok i used to work in a tattoo studio in letchworth a few years ago. and they dont hurt that bad when your the person doing it on someone else lol. seriously if they hurt that bad people wouldnt go back and have more would they. i have 19 tatts. and numourous piercings give me a tatt any day piercings hurt more.

Some tribal can look good but its so common when you go down the beach its like spot the bloke who hasnt got a tribal tattoo.If you get it shaded in and not solid black its abit less common i suppose.
