fitted my 60mm springs on sunday

but now after putting all back together i have noticed that the thread on the end of the anti roll bar link is real close to my tyres......

(never noticed how close they were before i started)

on the passenger side i can fit the end of my finger in the gap between the end of the thread and the back of tyre
but on drivers side i can fit only finger tip

was wondering if this is normal??

the distance between the drop link thread and the tyre will not change by lowering the car as it is still fixed to the same point on the strut. (the spring is higher than this).
possible cause the drop link has been changed previously and mabe a non-genuine one fitted so the threaded part may be longer or the part that it fastens to on the strut has been bent somehow. or the strut could be bent or mabe the wheel bearing is loose or on its way out (this would cause camber on the wheel making the top of the tyre/wheel move inwards)
are you using standard wheels? if not the wheels could be a different offset from one side to the other.
hope some of this helps you find your problem.

different size tyres on the wheels or even different make tyre's could be the problem.
the tyres can be same size ie 185/55/14 on both but if one is say a michelin and the other is a budget (wingwang ditchfinder) they will be different construction and therefore different shape.
hope this helps
