but 3 sky digital box's on ebay the other day. In the first day a guy emailed me and said he wants 2 box's and could he come pick them up the same day. So we agreed a price, so i sold 2. Went on to ebay and added some more infomation
"this item is now sold the winning bidder will recive a plastic peg"
thnking people will see this i thought nothing will happen, it will run its course on 99p unsold. But i was wrong they sold for £35 each....

so where do i stand now? am in my right to send them the peg and keep the money as it says in the advert? or do i send them there money back?

cheers guys

Refund the money, its very much legit but naughty you will get bad feedback

people did the whole buy this Xbox 360 for 100 when they 1st come out.... in small print was... your bidding on a picture of a 360 system

Lee_P
6th November 2007, 11:36

landy
6th November 2007, 11:36

AdamW
6th November 2007, 11:37

Did you change the ad before their time of bidding. If not then I don't think you have a leg to stand on. You'll have to refund them

If you did then I'd say keep it and send them a peg hehe

Dan
6th November 2007, 11:40
You could send them the peg but I know I wouldnt feel right doing that.

jeeves_101
6th November 2007, 11:40
yeah, legally they can't complain as the auction says they are bidding on a plastic peg, and there contract of winning means they know that, so technically you can keep the money and send a peg and they cant do squawt.

either send them a peg, keep all the money. or i suppose you could refund half of it if you would feel too guilty keeping it all... but still send a peg

VTR_Nick

Maybe they just want a peg? They might have broken one of theirs & its hell to find a single peg in a shop!

If you send emn pegs they will give ya neg feedback. Maybe send them a peg each and if they moan or neg rep you then thats that, but if they are nice polite people & send your peg back to you you can refund em :P

Just send me back my money you wankers!

Ohhh tut tut he gets a beige used peg!

Ste
6th November 2007, 17:57
What can they do.....

Fuck all, like all those dicks that bought pictures of the Xbox 360....

Send them a peg via recorded delivery and job done. If they complain ask them if they are blind and tell them to enjoy the peg.

saxowebby
6th November 2007, 22:34

vipergfx
6th November 2007, 23:46
i cant understand why you just didnt end the auction? or edit the auction page ...

... but it does state that it is a peg, and was said before the bidding, so send them the peg but expect neg feedback :S

Barry123
6th November 2007, 23:51

Just send them the money back, you wouldnt like it if you had bought it.

You should of really closed to auction when its not actually for sale anymore.
