I'm just curious. When you've made some new friends and told them "I have a Saxo" do they ever completely take the p*ss (joking or not joking) saying how the car is complete tosh and what not. last night one of my mates went, "shame about the make" (can't remember rest of convo)

But I know that it's been slagged off alot since I began Uni and made some new friends.

Just gets on my nerves, anyone else fed up with their lovely sax being made fun of? :n: Blooming Bullies :P

But tbh ANY car you own is a popular car last time i checked all cars get mass produced. well apart from hand built efforts and the like.

dont think its anything to do with the car itself as there not sluggish. its just down to being too popular when they came out etc

They usually come down on girls or new members harder, if your popular they laugh it off and say fair play.

When I first got my Saxo and told a mate it was a 1.6, he had a fat grin on his face and said, "VTR, yeah??" I told him no, as I had got a VTS. He then said, "Oh, VTS' are alright. Was about to call you a fcking chav!" Tbh I felt insulted anyhow, since they're very similar. VTR's rock too, almost got one! People should stop being so judgemental. But my sister's mates all reckon my car is "well fit", which is nice :)

Saxo's are the lick no matter what you hear from anyone - I love my VTS and get alot of respect for it and people think the two tone paint looks wicked and when I put my foot to the floor it shifts so gains respect from all sorts of cars. You'll find the people who say they are 'shit' are only haters and drive things like mummy's and daddy's car because they haven't got their own or drive Ford KA's or something rediculous like that!! Seems like other drivers just despise Saxo drivers. Was at the lights beside a '97 320i last night, I was in the right lane she was left and the woman was glaring at me properly, honestly have no idea why, lights turned green and she really gave it some- her rear wheels even spun, but as the road merged into one it was the little red paxo that was ahead :P, childish on my part fair enough but at least it was clean, but then she pulled up to the side of me at 40mph (single carriage way at this point- she was on the wrong side), waved at me daring me to race her, I obviously didn't so she cut in front, stamped on the brakes, almost causing me to crash into her, and then she sped off. Pissed that she got pwned by a Sax tbh, nothing else.

Some of my friends took the mick when I first got Saxo.. :n: They drive BMW M3 and 300ZX..

But now its been lowered and full straight through exhaust made it much better!
