Or if any one has any other recommendations for an amp, about the same price it would be most appreiciated :y:

Not to clever to be honest,
400 Watt RMS :n:
Hopefully wont be keeping that sub much longer though!

thats an ok power for a sub mate mines only 300, a jbl 350 rms is just as good too, its all about getting it set up right
how much do you want to spend on an amp, also are you just wanting it for a sub, as youll be better off with a mono, tbh the kenwood is better suited but still not up to the power

It is just for the sub,
i was looking at two channel amps becuase there more versatile E.g i could run comps off it at a later date.
But if i can find a good mono amp, il get that instead!
To be honest im looking to spend as little as possible due to christmas comming up etc etc.
Thanks for the quick replys mate! :y:

Well a mono amp is gonna be a better option as they are purely focused on powering subs, then you could always buy a small amp to power a set of comps at a later date.
It all depends on what your budget is mate;
For 50 quid your gonna get a bit of bass, nothing more, nothing less...
For 100 quid you get a fairly good amp that will give good bass, good quality and good volumes. (i'd recommend fli 1000w loaded monoblock for this range)
For 150-200 quid your gonna get a real good amp, from a well known quality brand that will pump your sub till your hearts content and it will sound awesome!:y:
You can spend more, but with a 400w rms sub theres no need, however 400w is a hell of a lot, and will sound good!;)
The old saying, "you get what you pay for" springs to mind!

you can get cheap 2 channel amps if you come to fit components which i suggest you do, hows about a 4 channel amp so you can run them all off the one amp??
