Nope, Nope & Nope.

Vts are bigger, vented and ABS'd!

the brakes arent ABS'd, the driveshafts are.

what size are 1.1 and what size are VTS?

I presume this question has arisen from my thoughts in your other thread ???

Should really check these things myself

If anyone can list up the differences then it would be mucho appreciated :y:

ABS stands for anti-lock braking system - not anti-lock drive shafts!

The ABS sensors read rings on the shafts, and the calipers are released when lock is detected!

So you wouldn't be able to put the VTS brakes setup on a 1.1 due to lack of ABS?

Karl

agreed Quick, but theres nothing on the calliper which I can see has anything to do with ABS? :S

So you wouldn't be able to put the VTS brakes setup on a 1.1 due to lack of ABS?

course you can! you can put gti 6 brakes on a VTR/Furio/1.1 and gti6s have ABS.

That would be very true... I'm having a retard moment :(

Just fit the whole set up from a Vtr, same size setup, no ABS to worry about, so that you can fit the master cyclider from it as the same time!

Quick,
you could fit my callipers to a 1.1, theres no wiring or anything,
its literally bolt onto the car, connect brake hosing. Bang, VTS brakes on a 1.1

I suppose that would be a better option. how much of an improvement would I be looking at if I was to do this?

Quick

I read Vts set up as the full monty - Fronts, rears & ABS!!

Yes, the 4 stud setups are interchangeable!

But you'd need discs as well as calipers!

tbh Noddy buy my VTS brakes for your 1.1 then.
discs, pads, callipers, carriers.
gogo.

How much of an improvement would I see in the change of setup?
'Cos I'd be going from 247mm to 247mm???

1.0 and 1.1 disks are smaller

the above is 238mm disks and VTR/VTS disks are 247mm.

Pretty certain the VTR/S caliper is bigger than the 1.0 and 1.1 caliper. cant recall if theres a 'spacer'/enlarged carrier aswel to allow the larger disk.

Ryan or WilliamsVTS would be the best to clarify anything brake wise IMO
