View Full Version : Went in a VXR8 Today...

Basically to cut a long story short i got a lift today from a driver from General Motors, he'd just picked the car up from the top gear track/studio (they've used it for filming of this weeks show) and was then returning it to a customer in Leedso
Can't believe the power this car has, 419bhp, 6 litre engine, i've never been in a car so quick. To say i was impressed was an understatement, and the noise it made was fantastic. I dread to think what the supercharged Monaro is like

Bet it was nice, but don't really like the look of it to be honest.

Bloke at work has one of the old Monaro's, took me for a spin one lunch time. The only thing i can say is that i had a smile on my face from the moment he put his foot down to when i got out the car.

They sound beasty, love how they sound, i'd buy one i think... massive cars though.

Looks a bit like a cross between an evo and an MG... I don't think it looks great but I wouldn't turn one down!

there is a black one at my local cruise, there really big lol, like vectra size

Quite like the VX Vauxhalls, normally I never look twice at a Vauxhall lol, bet it's well good to drive:p

They are huuuuuge. Bloke at works Monaro is longer than our parking spaces lol. Front sits well over the curb & the rear still sticks way out the back of the space.

One plus, you can spot it a mile off in a car park.

Amazing car, really really really like them. A friend of mine has just purchased the monaro vxr. Sooo nice.

Drinks petrol like a mother trucker.
