Hey had the auto diagnosis light come on the dash the other day so i checked out the manual and it said it was a problem with the anti pollution system (Cat converter?) or fuel injection. The car basically doesn't want to go over 4000 revs in 2nd gear and doesn't like doing over 80 in fifth (when i try the car goes jerky a bit like when u top out) If i treat it nicely though the cars fine and today the light didnt come on. I went to a garage and the bloke said the car is fine to drive round in and im not causing any damage. Is this true and whats the likely cause - Cat converter or the fuel injection?

Get it on a Diagnostic machine, the problem will appear.. fix the problem

If it's the Cat it's nothing to worry about but it should not be making your car do weird things... it would just put the engine managment light on and thats it. If it's the cat the sensor probally needs replacing,

Fuel injection - No idea.
