i have a saxo vtr on a R plate. when driving normaly the revs seem to hold for a spilt second when changing gear. if you hold clutch down it drops down to tick over. if it revs high i.e over 4000 its fine. any ideas.;)

if its left in gear and you take your foot off the go faster pedal, the engine keeps reving at the same speed for a second or two then the engine starts slowing down

when you put your foot down it goes normaly right up to the red line.
if you are in (lets say fourth gear) about 3000 revs then going to change up
to fifth. the revs will hold at 3000 for about a second or two (when the clutch is dipped) and then drop as normal
