Starter Motor

Hey ppl

Bout 2 weeks ago my starter motor went it made a grinder noise and wouldnt start up so replaced it then four days later it went again did exactly the same noise the grinding noise and then replaced another 1 on friday and went again today with the same noise any ideas on wat it could be? and also
Does any1 know how many bolts there should be on the starter motor to the gearbox?

sounds to me like your ring gear might be worn! have had cars in the past where the ring gear wears on the flywheel which is what the starter engages to. :D hope this may be of some help. try taking the starter motor off and put power to it with some jump leads off a battery see if it is workin properly, Good luck :D
