View Full Version : Strut Brace - Seized nut!!

How the hell do you undo the bolts on the back of the wishbones?!?! I used every tool i got, sprayed with WD40, yanking the car with me, it's not moving.. Just sitting there laughing at me!! :wall:

What's the best way to do it? Jack one side up and do the opposite etc.. or jack it up and do both sides together? Or not jack it up at all? :fcuk:

Any help would be great.

get a breaker bar on it. if that dont do the job i dnt no. what 2 bolts do you mean on the back of the wishbone?

No just the one bolt on each wishbone.. I can't see it budging to be honest :n:

breaker bar on one then. or just get a new bolt and nut from shitroen and grind the fuck out of the current one lol

I thought it was gonna be a 30 minute jobbie :panic: And shitroen is 30 miles or so away from me :n: I might just scrap the stupid thing!!

an air gun will ;)

lol breaker bars are better than and air gun :D countles times our air guns wont get wheel nuts off but a breaker bar does :D

known a few situations where an air gun has been able to mash it appart when the bar hasnt. depends on the bolts tbh imo.

Umm i think i was turning anti-clockwise, but i couldn't quite figure out which way that was when i was under the car :oops: But i was turning it the right way in the end... But no luck.. I let the WD soak in for a while... and also applied more.. But still nothing... :n:
