I have a sony headunit which came with an ipod adaptor, the thing is though sometimes when i turn car off and come back, i go to turn the stereo on and it says "ipod dead" it does it most times. I have to unplug and plug back in which is a pain. Is there a specific way to turn it off without it saying "ipod dead"? I.e turn headunit off first then car off?
Cheers :y:

Hi Matt,
There was an early model of Sony ipod connection that did this. My guess is that this is the model.
You have two options...
1) Take the unit back to where you got it and request the latest model.
2) Take the iPod away from connection before turning the stereo off then your ignition off.
Let me know if it helps :-)
