Please help need some info about saxo reliablility

hi fokes my cuzin has a 1.4 saxo and she is getting problems like the car keeps stalling and cutting out when going along. also she said when you apply the brake it cuts out. now i have just brought a saxo 1.6 vts and was woundering if they will have a problem like this as i have been told by a friend that all the saxo series have this common fault even the 1.6 vts i dont know if hes jelouse about me having the car or weather this is true. please can someone give me an answer on this matter and please tell me if you know what the problem is with my cuzins saxo 1.4 many thanks cheers for your time ben

in 2 and a half years of now owning a saxo my only problems have been new battery, centre section and rear drums....all depends how well the car is treated

yea they are good so long as theyve been looked after, do furios have rear drums????? i didnt know that ?? i thought theyd have discs like a vtr
