Free or paid for?
AVG is pretty good, spybot does a good job.

Nod32 for Antivurs, very, very good imo, and spybot for spyware.

AVG pro internet security does everything. Spyware, Antivirus, Adware etc. It also prevents IE dowloading and running any dodgy scripts.

Using Nod32 atm, works like a treat, very light on the RAM too.

I use AVG free.. Spybot.. Windows defender.
I've been using this combo for at least a year no problems to report.

AVG is a pretty safe bet & free. Been using it for yonks now.
All my relatives who come to me with their computer woes, i tell them to install Firefox , AVG & Ad Aware run them all & then either buy a mac or stop complaining to me ;)

AVG has a good reputation nowadays. Spybot is good for antispyware.
I use Mcafee antivirus and antispyware module...it works and have never had the software moaning at me. Unlike symantec "anti virus" which is a pile of shite.

Soon as i saw the title i thought "AVG."
AVG is the best imo. I dont have an antivirus, if i expect somethings wrong with my computer i just download AVG, update, scan, uninstall, delete.
i used to have norton but i uninstalled it for AVG Free.

seem thats the paid ones are shit lol, ive had norton and mcafee and both hog loads of memory from ya pc, and take a week to load, whereas AVG is clean and runs stealthy, im not daft enough to get viruses so not sure on how good it handles with them but it seems okay, heard nod32 is good and not tried spybot yet..

I use AVG and Ad-aware atm. Used to use Zonealarm Internet security (Which is firewall, virus, adware, anitfishing etc) which was also pretty good, but couldn't get it to work properly with vista.

I had both AVG and Spybot installed on my dads pc, but seems that he hasnt been updating them so probably that thats caused the problem.... found a few virus's and something a few on the usb stick so probably picked them up from other computers!
