My computer doesn't recognise blank DVD-R discs anymore.. and just says there is no disk in the drive. but it will still recognise blank CD-R's CD-RW etc.
Does anyone know whats wrong? never had this problem before.

Need to re-install it so it recognises the driver fella and re-adjusts the settings for DVD-r's ;)

Nackered drive mate. Lots of drives do it.
We get lots of combi drives at work that should play dvd and cd, and they only play cd. We just throw them out.
Drives are cheap anywayz mate, they just dont last forever.
Personally i would try cleaning the DVDs (helps 85% of the time). If that fails, try what people are saying above. Then if that fails, buy a new drive.

As above and DVD cleaning discs are a few quid
If that doesnt work and still nothing happens or it burns half way and then stops etc then your drive is fooked
around £30+ for a new one
