X-FI Sound Cards

Anyone else having issues with this series card? I have the X-FI Xtreme gamer, and although its good, the sound keeps getting currupted after a reboot or a cold boot. It whacks the sound upto full blast and sounds like its under water. Have to keep setting it back to default and changing all my settings again.

My mate has the Fatilty Pro version and his does the same thing.... He took his out and gained about 40FPS in games...... granted his must have been faulty (i removed mine and no difference in performance) is this a known issue with the X-FI cards?

mine is fine.

although when i went to vista it cocked up but not like what you've described.

xp its fine. but i recommend going on the creative labs forums because no doubt someone else will have the same problem

erm, ive got the X-fi extreme gamer, and have had no problems with it, other than i cant get my mic to work..... but i think its a driver problem
