What do you think of these apart from the words head gasket lol?
I think they look nice, looking at the 1.4 and the 1.8 (150 bhp) i just done a quote for £1800 on the 1.8 :panic: if i could get that down to £1500 i would be happy. I have 0 no claims and 1 years driving experience. What do you think of them? And the 1.4 models have 105bhp or something 10secs to 60.

i have the 1.4 model and its very nice, comfy, nippy for a 1.4. Supposedly the 1.8 isnt all its cracked up to be!

my mate has the blue one, kept clean there very nice cars, not cheap for a decent one tho!
interiors are mint, seats are good. 1.4's are apparently more to insure as they get smashed up alot more due to younger drivers with them, not sure if its true tho..
make sure its been serviced alot as the HG's do fuck up on them!

There is loads of 52 plate 1.8 160bhp ones on pistonheads at bargain prices really

I like them:y: I'd probably be driving one if there were no saxo's lol. Insurance for the 1.4 is quite a lot though as it's a group 7 ( same as a VTR) but it's slower than a VTR. I don't know much about the 1.8 though

Cool, i couldn't find many on autotrader 2 really that were less than 300miles away. I think they are nice and i like the gunmetal/yellow the best. What else would you get for the money red?

What was wrong with it? Just theres not much cars that stand out syle wise i like. Apart from the saxo, ZR that i can think of that would be in my price range, 4-5k max

Shocking build quality and Ive got 2 saxos so thats really saying something!
Heater didnt work, engine management light kept coming on, head gasket going (which they all do), not that quick, shit noisy gearbox etc etc.

I quite like mg zr's tbh.. Never drove one or been in one though tbh. But they do look nice, especially in blue or black.
MAS was telling me last night on msn that he's getting one in a couple/few months, 1.8 150bhp.

I wanted a MG ZR 1.4 and went to look at a couple, drove them and shocking. Seats are like stone, steering is heavy and dash is rattly as fuck. Nice to look at though.
The other thing is they are £4k odd second hand and most dont even have central locking, electric windows or any extras what so ever. I was looking at 04 plate 1.4 models. The only models which have this are the '+' models

There not bad to look at, but would personally never own one.

my dads mate has one in gun metal grey (that seems to be a popular colour, like the posi blue for a saxo), and he loves it, yes, they are 'ok' to look at, but id never drive one.
my missus likes them, she said she would drive one, but now she said she cant see herself driving it lol i like the blue that it comes in

if you were going for the 1.4 id say keep the saxo or get a zs. if you were going for the 1.8, id laugh and say 'oh dear'.
in otherwords dont get one, they are nice, but theres so many better cars imo.

A Vts in a drag race against a ZR160 would be a very interesting dual.
