Well its that time of the year again and this is the first MOT I will have seen my car through:panic: . Its an x reg and has 57000 or thereabouts on the clock. I know it needs new wiper blades and the brakes will need to be sorted as they are knackered:homme: but is there anything else that I will need to think about getting done i.e cambelt etc or are saxos renowned for failing MOT's for anything particular (other than brakes:P )??? cheers:y:

Cambelt will probably need to be replaced as it's close to 60K miles. Is the car modified at all?

make sure you get the cambelt done at 60k mate beacuse if it snaps it will destory you engine!
Other than that check all your bulbs and tyres before you go so that they can be sorted before the mot if needs be.
your car hasnt done that many miles so i shouldnt have thought it would fail badly if at all.
Good luck mate.

Cambelt is not a requirement for the MOT, so you may defer that until after if you wish - just don't defer it too long. As said before, check all lights, tyres and your washer fluid - silly things to fail on and only take minutes to check.
Just a quick question, if you knew the wipers and brakes were unroadworthy, why were you still driving it?

Ummm good question but the main reason is Im still trying to earn enough money to get them repaired/uprated which might sound like a stupid excuse but Im still on a student budget. I think the brakes might just need adjusting as 6 months ago had both the discs and pads replaced so I wouldnt have thought they would be knackered already?
