right as you may all see i have now set up a FAQ guide much like the engine section has.

At the moment it is very sparse on the ground, using most of the old stickys and the new lower brace fitting guide.

What i want from you guys is some input into what threads appear most often, any guides or threads which you think would be useful. If you pm me with the threads i can look over them and if i feel they are what are going to help reduce the amount of repeated threads being posted i will add them to the FAQ thread.

so this is your chance to have your say as to what you think needs to be there and also have your own experiences put there for others to benifit from in the future.

thanks

Ryan.

imo this was a poor move.

now the people who read these threads are people looking for answers to questions.

When they where stickyed before, you could tell when new posts were added, and if you knew about the subject, more of an inclination to go to that thread then read if you could answer any questions.

thats just my opinion on the matter.

Although the section does look tidier

it had been discussed in the moderators forum that the plan was to use a FAQ section as it has worked well in other technical sections.

having tons of stickys
1. makes the forum untidy and hard to use.
2. makes it impossible to have all the information in one place, as if theres a database of tons of threads you cant have them in a sticky.

if a thread is in the FAQ and its been posted in recently it still shows up in the normal thread lists.

the plan is to get as much technical information that is useful for members to use in one easily accessable place.

in which case it should be a good move. :y:
