Migraines + Hallucinations

random thread and that... Over the past 7 weeks whilst I've been beavering away I've pretty much destroyed my body mentally and physically.

Anyway two weeks ago I was hit with my first migraine in yonks. standard by my levels but the a second one happened a couple of days which wiped out my vision temporarily - which was a bit shit.

Now i tend not to get massive headaches but rather visual hallucinations and stuff. Its never really bothered me, some in the past have been fairly mild and some have lead to me on the verge or collapse.

Just wondering if anyone gets the visual migraines and what do they see. I had a chat with my friends and non of them get them...

yeah when i used to get bad migranes my vision would slowely reduce an i would be stuck with white "flashes" best way to describe it lol

an i would also go numb down the left hand side of my body always felt like i was gonna swallow my tongue lol

now thats fucked up. I'll be honest they've never really bothered me much, until i got hit twice in a short space of time. Which suggests my triggers are related to not sleeping and/or stress.

Because I've never been that bothered i've never really made a note of what happened leading up to an 'attack' and afterwards - well apart from i cant see shhhhhhhhhit. but I've going to be a bit more analytical next time just so i get an idea.

lol yeah always is, its like see when you get an injection at the dentists an your face feels fat lol when its numb thats what the left hand side of ur body feels like (hands arm tongue etc)

not had one in years though and i never really found out what triggered them, it was possibly eating too much chocolate lol (thats what the doctor said lol)

That does sound fucked craigy! I get worried when I get the odd chest pain now and again, but nearly swallowing your tongue and going numb and blind would scare the shit out of me.

lmao i wasnt completely blind like ads is, i have like a tiny wee hole of vision like tunnel vision.

an i only really swallowed my tongue cos i couldnt feel it and panic'd

When i was younger i got ill a few times must of happened about 3 times. id wake up middle of night with a migraine, i would hallucinate randomly, about huge quilts and needles, one time about huge cows and a city made of mud, seriously scary shit,

One day i pissed on my table thinking it was the toilet, woke up thinking "oh shit i never did i" ran down stairs and yes i did! hahahaha!! :n:

i get a migrane after every hockey match a play on top of other random times. I find that my sight goes and my eyes go blurry then i get a major headache and the only way to get round it is to sit in the dark. its balls and really messes me up.

I start with the hallucinations you mention above, more like the second pic but the last one I got i lost vision in my left eye it was that blurred and mad. Once this kicks in i know i have about half an hour to basically get home or somewhere comfortable, then its mega nasusea followed by being sick then a dull head ache heading towards mega head ache, then im dead tired and sleep for anything up to 4 hours then i have a dull headache for the rest of the day until i can get a proper nights sleep.

agree'd you just know when one is coming on an you've only got that short period of time to take some migrane tablets an get somewhere dark before it hits ya

I get them every 6 months maybe less, depends whats going on in my life tbh..

Those images I do get, feels like something is running down my body then feel faint. only get that very rare, usually if i haven't slept and I have a massive migraine.

Worst time was when I woke up in the middle of the night with my mouth numb and couldnt speak, all I remember doing was climbing onto my mum and dads bed and apparently had a full blown seizure. Pretty fucked up.

Had several more occasion when it happened but never had the full blown seizure again.

Got Diagnosed with epilepsy all though they were actually not sure I just had some ''irregular brain activity'' this all led to anxiety and depression.

But when it comes down to it, were pretty sure it was all anxiety panic and stress related.

Fuck knows what yours is adsayer, I'd go to the doctors if it keeps happening better to know whats wrong than worry about it.
