I need a bit of help after seeing every ones cars on the weekend i am wanting to get a VTR i dont know what to do either keep the furio and get it how i want it and mod the engine or buy a vtr either mk1 or mk2 for similar price to what i get for the furio what do i do

buy a vtr ive never done it but when i think of engine swaps i think hassle

Personally wouldn't bother upgrading from a furio - vtr...

Really do you think there is much in the performance between the two and David tar for meeting me even though we got the wrong junctions lol

Not especailly... I felt like Baz was quicker than me tbh on the way home... He pulled away from me fairly well, but arguably i was changing at 3k revs and had yorkie in the car...

strip your car olib, james bristols is a westcoast and hes says its as fast as a standard vtr.

yeah i will only be able to afford insurance around 20 so going to sort the furio out

go VTR imo there is a very noticable difference especially when i raced furios etc in my old vtr

I'd stick with the furio, but strip it. That will make it faster and it's free.:y: Then with a few years ncb, get a VTS:y:

Thinkinbg of doing the ingnition leads, Induction kit,Manifold,Exhuast system,brakes,springs,get a bit of weight out,cams+pullys then i dont know i fell asleep

~ Furios in all honesty dont feel much different from a VTR tbh, Id wait a year and get a VTS. :)

A 1.4 engine isn't a bad platform to start on. With a lot of engine mods like de-cat, 4-2-1 manifold, enclosed air filters etc, you can easily get them upto 85-90 BHP. Depends how far you want to go really mate. Stripped out, it will improve power to weight ratio even further.

yeah i just worried about the gear box it seems to be really stiff been like it since i bought it just worries me

Really it just seems really stiff atm could it be cos its standard it seems to get smoother when i drive it for ages

a engine trade is long and pretty costly!
sell ya car save a little and get a nice vtr and mod that :) jobs sorted

VTR mate.

I have played about with Baz loads of times on motorway, him with all his mods and my old VTR won everytime.
