Hey guys,
Recently been using autoglym super resin, was just wondering what really is the best polish for sort of around the 20-25 pound mark?
Also is there anything particularly wrong with using the super resin or is it just a case of there being better polish available out there?
Also i wonder which wax to use, again around the same sort of price as ive heard this is to be used in order to sort of seal in that shine and indeed add even more as buffed off?
Is there a limit to how many times you should polish or wax your car a year? Just ive been going a little crazy with the super resin and doing a coat or two after each wash this winter.....
Many thanks and sorry for all the questions im a complete noooooob really lol

Hello mate...
Auto Glyms comes in a huge bottle for £14.99 so probably the best value around for good polish that gives great results so yes along with Blackfire products
Nothing wrong with it at all dude but obviously not everyone can afford the full Zymol range, the results wont differ that much from spending £15 or £115 on Zymol really...its mainly about the techniques you use like UDMs to work products in and other products you use before and after to give a complete finish - Scratch/swirlbusters, sealants and waxes to keep the shine and protection...
(eg. you could splash out on expensive ICE setups but if you dont do the wiring well and everything else about the install isnt well done the results will be shite...waste of money tbh)
For just above that price range the new Blackfire wax is very very good and will be highly recommended by a lot of people if you want to splash out

P21's carnauba wax:

Victoria wax's

Collinite and Natty's waxes are also very good

Spend a few more squid and you can get some Dodo Juice (DJ) which is great stuff and is also lasts very long - up to about 3 months :y:

Might I add the blackfire Wax will give better results when put over Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealent, so your looking at 60 pound all in.

aaaah coool, thanks, is there an order i should be waxing and polishing and sealing??
At the moment i wash it with turtle wax shampoo
Then chamois leather after rinsing with a fair amount of clean water from a couple of watering cans
Then apply SRP
Then apply the autoglym sealant stuff that seems to spread on so easy
And then the bit i dont do but i think should do after all that is apply the dodo juice sealant? Is that the last bit after the shampoo, chamois, srp and sealant?
Or just give me an order which is best lol

I used to use AG SRP all the time but you really need a UDM or porter cable to work the polish in and get the best results mate combined with other abrasive polishes and a good wax to finish
Remember they work superhumanly fast and have many different uses so are great bits of kit, love mine and would really recommend splashing out on one :y:
Polishing only about 3-4 times a year really max depending on what condition your paintwork is in. AG SRP is quite a hard-wearing and long-lasting polish tbh, use it only as much as you need to...
You can do a quick detail with detailing spray or give your car a quick wash and then re-apply polish and wax or just add another layer of wax over a previous one dude but try not to go over the top, save it and re-apply only when you need to as Dodo Juice lasts about 2-3 months+
Asking questions is how you learn and get better at things dude so keep asking 'em lol, i was a noob back in about March really when i started to get into cleaning and keeping my car in decent condition...havnt looked back since :A:

2 bucket method dude
You need a lambswool and microfibre washmitt really
Leave the car to soak in suds
Rinse or pressure wash off
Wash again with the lambswool washmitt and MF washmitt for wheels
Dry with a water magnet towel or ultra plush miracle dryer
I usally treat my alloys here by carefully drying, polishing if i need to (white alloys are high-maintenance), applying wheel sealant and then treating the tyres with Meg's Endurance High Gloss
Polish
Seal
and then Wax
I would then treat the trims and plastics with Meg's after the above aswell :y:
