just bought 1999 mark 1 saxo, got 35mm apex springs (not too low i live in ireland and roads not exactly fucking great) all grand until mechanic says he doesnt have tools to adjust torsion.
can anyone help with a few tips or even a simple guide to gettin the arse of this 1 litre lump down 35mm?

so he doesnt have a socket set and a hammer?
you cna do it with basic tools

Its not a too biger job have a look around on the site there is a guide on how to do it somewhere. Took me 3 hours to do mine at the weekend

After watching someone do mine on Sunday I can safely say, fuck doing it myself.
Was a complete bitch to get out and he ended up taking out the whole thing and putting it in a vice to smack it out, which took alot of persistence.
Fair play to him he didn't give up and eventually go it out, I would have got pissed off and just given up in frustration.
Glad I paid for it now, professional job and saved me fucking about with it myself.

The bolts/screws in the end of the torsion bars are T40
13mm socket or spanner for undoing the bolts holding the ARB plate in place.
For limited tools use a big socket and washer and search for stevenet's guide on doing that.
Or if you can spare £11 for a slide hammer thats the way i prefer to do it, those things are brilliant. Buy one from screwfix
