133mph out of my old VTR, thats was with 2 people in the car and going down a bit of a hill!! 140mph+ out of my VTS. Dont know how much faster, was too scared to look at the speedo for any length of time. All good fun though!!

135mph in my vts, lost my bottle after that! There again, the speedos aren't accurate so unless you've got proper timing equipment you'll never know your true speed.

Get a new road angel , they are great for accurate GPS speed readings.. and also warnings about cameras etc obviously!
quite costly though.. I just tested one out from work. smileys/smiley17.gif

They are good. My old man has one. The difference between the road angel and his speedo was 20mph.... 140mph on the clock, 120mph on the road angel!

Mark - i can't remember what the max rpm was, i had my eyes shut. smileys/innocent.gif

I think all the fine, law-abiding members of sax-p would like to point out that all speed tests mentioned in this thread were done on private roads.......

I've had 110ish outta my VTR, I dont go on many long motorway journeys but when I do I hang around 80-90ish, dont usually push her over 110.

If your gonna measure ur top speed at least try doin it with GPS...the dials always lie smileys/smiley4.gif

Its all about the 0-60! smileys/smiley4.gif & corners, top speed isn't my bag

i still can get over my 1.2 punto sporting mk1 that i used to have
b4 the saxo. It had 125 on the clock and the needle was sat
right on the pin, probably had a tiny little more punch in it too.
Only had an exhaust and induction kit on, not bad eh??

Top speed isnt my bag either... its all about acceleration!

1.0L Saxo = 109mph

VTR Saxo = Not sure cause speedo only went up to 120mph and I took it way off that, so probably pushing 130ish!

FTO = 143mph so far, but could have got lot more out of it... just got a bit scared... gonna try it again soon when I have got a clean pair of boxers on! smileys/smiley4.gif
