Can anyone please verify whether or not you can set the angle the strut sits by adjusting the top mounts.... ?

Many thanks in advance!

they are not "proper adjustable" but people say that if you turn them round they give more caster and camber,i think it depends on whether its got power steering or not.

ok danny it has power steeing and his camber is quite different ot he other side which obviously isnt rigth so what do you meen turing them around

how you have three bolts coming through the strut and four holes actually in the strut.you can have different variations(check on rallye register) like 2 bolts coming through the front holes and 1 through the back, then 2 on the side and one on the front.if you know what i mean. im not sure the significance of this i just know it can be done.
ive got some roller bearing alluminium top mounts as they are harder and better although not adjustable.

no he is not buying them, his camber is different on both sides (quite alot actually) so i thought that the top of the strut you could move side to side but it is up and down

josh you welded you onto the top of the strut didnt you?
theres a group buy on the RR for these and some people say to weld them underneath.

if you want adjustable top mounts compbrake do them but not sure what you would have to do to fit them. www.compbrake.co.uk

OK good reading there. Thanks for the input guys.

I'm still at the stage of tying to find out exactly WHY the strut points more upward on the right side than the left side. But all of this adds up. Explaination:

I have 5mm more ride hight on the front right than the front left. The angle of the strut on the right is more vertical compared to angle of the strut on the left. I have less negative camber on the right than the left. All of this makes sense, as the angle of the strut would mean that it would HAVE to increase the ride height on that side. In turn, this would mean that the camber angle HAS to increase also. (Giving me less negative camber)

So the big question is... Would a dodgy top mount do all this?

It doesnt really matter either way, as long as they arent too thick, i think i could still get a strut brace (but they dont fit) on even now....but maybe have to use some different bolts just to be safe

P.s if anyone wants a set of these, plus fitting i can point you in the right direction at a bargain price!!
