It is worth buying a B & M Quickshift (short throw gear levers) for a saxo 1.1. Would I notice any difference over the standard gearshift in the way of better performance and would it reduce the amount of "missed gearchanges" as I miss 3rd and 5th gear if I try and change up too fast:oops:

Cheers

you would defintely know the difference from standard, would also make changing gears much smoother.

It's just I seem to be missing the gears more often. The gearstick I have at the moment isn't the original one becauses I had to change it just to put a different gearknob on. I think it's a gearstick off an old pug.106 but seems almost like something is worn out.

ebbay sellers will tend to try and sell u these silly ass gear selecter weights, dont buy then if anything you are just adding un-necessay weight to your motor. i found the best way to solve my wobbly gear knob that some what resembled the stiring o porridge, was to actually spend the money and buy the gear selecter service kit, it set me back a painfull 80 notes but took alot of pain out of the driving experiance, after i fitted a short shift, a yes like new, i also got in there with a hacksaw and cut about 4 inches off the length of the gear stick, reduces travell even more and gives u that short rally style shift,
