hi,

ive just bought a vts a the pull when putting your foot down was amazing.

however ive just fitted my Raceland induction kit, and for some reason the air filter is very very quiet, and it also feels like when you put foot down it doesnt pull as much!

i fitted the air filter on my furio before and was quite loud and the preformance was fine.

im thinking the only reason that my vts could have lost power after fitting this is that it isnt getting enough cold air? as the slam panel looks very restrictive.

any one had the same problem?
can anyone help?

thanks in advance
wayne

are you stamping on the pedal or building up the gas???

no i wouldnt say stamping, just building up the speed as i have done before.

thing is i fitted it and noticed a drop in performance, then all of a sudden it picked back up! meaning the noise of the filter was louder and more pull in the gears! however i looked under bonnet after a couple of hours and noticed the piping had come off from the inlet slightly.

i then fitted it back and its returned to how it was when fitted!

just so annoying!

no, it did when the piping came off the inlet a little, but now ive tightened it back up its losing power again

you may have tightened up the clamps too tight

try the accelerator cable too, you can adjust it as it may of come slack and therefore not opening the throttle all the way

sounds like its not getting enough air,
take the induction kit off and try the car,
then retry the kit,
see if it makes any difference.

the filter may need cleaning. it sounds as if something is restricting the air flow
