amp gauge

if bought a nother 2 gauges today, but the amp needs to be connected to the alt. and batt.

my question is

can i just take the power from the ign. wire for the amp input and putt the another 1 (batt) on the battery itself

it has 2 bolts 1 is amp input
1 is batt input

amp gauge
volt gauge
oil temp
vacuum gauge
