please help.... any idea's welcome.

i have got a 106gti lump from a W reg 106 gti and am having problems with the enging not idleing properly and when you do drive it it gets to about 3half thousand rev's and its like it starving it self of fuel and it give's up.
recently i have complete a full engine rebuild all new gaskets, oil, head skimmed etc etc... but still the problem occurs. we have tested the idle control value and it move's correctly, change the fuel filter on it but still no different the engine itself is running lovely, compression is spot on no air loss or leaks. have clean and checked injectors and fuel rail, cleaned every possibe contact but still the problem happens.

could this be a electric fault??? ecu possibly????

any one any idea's on what this might be ??? any help or idea's greatly accepted as am desperate to get car back on the road.

rep awaiting

that sounds similar to what was happenin with my vts, i chganged the fuel filter and temp sensor but still didnt help. took it for a diagnosis but didnt find the problem. they checked my lamba sensor and they said the signal was low. they didny change it but it was fixed when i got it back, think they give it a clean or somethin

thanks fella. yeah i've changed the filter and temp sensor to but like you said no real improvment. i have recently change the lamba sensor with a new one but it was a universal one which i'm informed is all the same.
do you think it would matter if its going into a 4branch???
