MOT's..
My engine management light is on... This is due to the lambda sensors in the exhaust and what not...
Will it still pass?

should pass mate aslong as there is nothing wrong with the lambda sensor's or the exhaust.

Depends on the emissions. At present, an MOT testing station can NOT fail you purely for the engine management light being on. However, it's fairly likey that the effect of the light being on will mean something is wrong which could fail you your MOT...
What car is this for David?

mk2 VTR - 98 bhp version...

Do you know which sensor is playing up. I assume you have 2 lambda sensors like the mk2 VTS is that correct?

I couldn't tell you... I bought the car off saxo180 ~ This is what he told me...
It's down to the Lamda sensor in the exhaust. Because there isn't a cat it will need shorting out so that the light goes off. It was one of those little jobs I didn't have time to do I'm afraid!
Most exhaust places should be able to do it for next to nothing

Sounds like you don't have a cat? If this is the case you will need to put a cat on for your car to pass an MOT.

I thought that too, but apparently it does have one...

Why not get a free emissions check done prior to your MOT. Then you'll know.

So Saxo180 says it doesn't have a cat, but someone else says it does... Poke your head underneath and find out mate! lol
As Vidal said, get the emissions checked before the MOT. As Steve said, you're going to fail with no cat... It's possible to pass without a cat, but very unlikely!

I know I'll fail without one... I'll have a look at lunch... If I can't see anything then I'll get a check done.
Cheers guys.

If you haven't got one, you migh want to look into "special" ways of getting through an MOT... Or, you'll need to buy a cat obviously.

Surely you can see the CAT in the manifold?

My bad. Cat is in manifold! It's the lower sensor that's not fitted to the middle pipe when the new exhaust went on.
