Can anybody help me. I was on my way to work on saturday when i pushed my cigarette lighter in. The next thing i had smoke coming from the dash, the cig lighter had not come back out an had to be forced out. I think the heat from the cig lighter had caused wires to burn. I looked at the fusebox and one of the fuses had melted. I now have no power. Can anybody help?

Have you replaced the fuse?

There is alot of cables running together that power all sorts of different features in the saxo so if one has got hurt and melted it could have taken a vital one for the ignition, sounds like it could be a fix or replacement loom mate

a fuse is there to protect the wiring mate, just have a look to see if its blown, theres fuses inside and in engine bay, check the really big ones too :y:

It might not of been the correct fuse, it could be that the fuse melted because the amp was big enuff for what it had to do

i.e 7.5 amp in a 40amp slot though still im not sure it would melt?
