Hey chaps. Right the other day there was floods everywhere and I had to go through one. The puddle was so deep that it came up half way up my alloys. Since then my car struggles to start.
I have tried to start my car, but it just makes a whine noise. It takes about 4 turns of the key to start even after started from warm. I have sprayed some wd40 on the ht leads and dizzy cap, but with no luck. Could this be a battery issue?
Cheers for the help guys, once again sorry for the wrong section but I am in a hurry. I have to be at my work xmas meal and this girl I really like is going to be there hehe
Rep given for answers I like (battery issue :P)

Is that an expensive fix? Also would it start via jump leads?

Umm its an arse to fix, jump leeds wont help there is a trick where you can by pass the solenoid by putting a screwdriver between the feeds on the starter motor however its near on impossible to do on a saxo because the motor is at the back of the engine.

Is it making the noise and not turning the engine over ?
If so as the other lad said this could be the starter
It bascally means the gear on the starter is not making contact with the ring gear. Sometimes you can get away with just changing the starter but sometimes it has chipped the teeth off the ring gear to that will need changing.
So fingers crossed it just the starter
