Power Steering Gone!

My power steering pump seems to have packed up. Would i be best getting a second hand pump, a new one or trying to rebuild my existing pump?

How easy is it?

try hitting it with a hammer with ignition on bushes get stuck sometimes(hit motor not pump)

yer my problem sound simular to this i have to tap my kep for my heating and power sterring to work!!! anything i can do to stop it???
