Help!!

Hiya guys,

right been using laptop for a while and pc was made redundant due to lack of space lol


Now here's the problem.....

Turn pc on, all fine "fujitsu Siemens" comes up as normal, then occasionally get the "windows xp" loading page, but then basically get nothing, tried reinstalling xp but get nothing at all come up, computer is loading it but nothing on the display, just a blank screen. It is not the monitor, tried 3 different monitors and same thing happens. :(

any ideas

just try this when you turn it on keep pressing F8 then when a screen ahs loaded use the arrow keys and move up to Last Known Good Configuration then press enetr, then again if/when it comes up with Wndows XP Home Edition<--may be something diffrent

and elt me know what it does ;)

When you re-installed Windows any problems?

I mean any error messages when re-installing? did you completely delete the data of your hard drive before you reinstalled?

try taking off the cpu cover and making sure all the cards are pushed in correctly

Sounds like the bios battery is on its way out... might be worth getting a new one and try that and they are nice and cheap.

he may not of deleted old partion hence i asked him to do that first ;)

sorry didnt exactly specify, i go to run install for xp, but do not get anything on the display,so havent installed anything because of this.

Tried F8 already, but again, get nothing :(

Any more ideas? not exactly known for my knowledge of internal components but can always try lol

all sorted now, nothing technically wrong with it, stripped it out and put it back together and then it worked lol cheers guys :D
