standars cd player removal

hi guys

ive read on how to remove the standard black cd player from a saxo but im havin problems

ive used 2 metal rods/small screw drivers/nails to push down the 2 top holes on the cd player and ive heard them click but the damn thing still wont budge it wont even move a millimetre let alone come out!!!!:n:

am i missin sumat???

cos surley it shud pullout easier than this!!!!

any ideas plz

I think u'll need some removal tools. they cost about £4 from halfrauds.

i use two flat head screwdrivers comes out straight away that way.

i couldn't get mine out either lol i took the whole centre console out and got it out from the back lol was miles easier haha

how i got mine out was i put drill bits in each hole so they clicked then i got a screw driver n prized it forwards a bit of at a time on each side and it slowly came out but it worked because i kept getting stressed out with mine and took me about 7 attempts

Put ur hand from the passenger side up the back of the console ull feel the stereo, give it a good wack with the plastic end of the screwdriver or something.

You might not be bending it to pull it out if u know what i mean when you stick the screwdrivers in push them both together and give it a good tug.

Another tip... be patient with it took me about 15mins to get mine out

you can fit ya hand behind from the drivers side and push it out thats how i got mine out

i used two little flat heads make sure when it clicks keep the screw drivers in otherwise it will go back in
