hmm Cams

Well im very tempted in some cams not 100% what ones i should be looking for so any help there would be very helpful and!

i havent de-cat'd or manifold'd yet, would it be better to wait AGES and get new manifold and de-cat then get some cams or get cams and wait a bit and get a new manifold?


just go for cams? or wait whats the best way to go?

i been thinking the same sort of thing - i am also interested in the response

my personal opinion is to sort the manifold out first - start of small and work your way up but others might have a different opinion

best to get the manifold decat etc first as after you get the cams your gonna need a remap to get the full benefits of the cams, an the remap will take into consideration the manifold an decat, but if you add these afterwards the remap wont take the new parts into consideration.

you could always run around with the cams with no remap an then buy the manifold etc but i dont see the point in that

Well, dont quote me on this, but I have read several times from some clever people, that you should do all the "breathing mods" first. So sort your zaust system, manifold and induction before moving onto cams ect.

After doing cams your gonna be looking at a remap next anyway, so personally I wouldnt remap until I got the rest of my stuff sorted, Ie, breathing mods.
