I bought my 306 with 72k on the clock since having it ive done another 4k miles, i didnt get any service history with the car, however i checked the VOSA website for past MOT's and it shows the millage on the last 2 MOT's being under 70k so i thought fair enough its legit, but i noticed the other day when i started my car from cold the clock shows 176663 but as the car warms up the 1 before the 7 dissapears, is this just due to the cold or could it have been clocked, its a diesel so the millage doesnt matter but im in 2 minds whether to ring up the bloke i bought it from and ask for some money back as i paid more for it cause it had low millage.

It could actually be a fault with the odometer. Does the condition generally look like it's done starship miles?

not really the body work is very clean and the interior is immaculate but one thing my boss pointed out to me was if a car has done loads of miles you see the wear on the steering wheel which there is quite a bit of wear on mine
