Falled out of love with there Saxo?
I had plans that would last the next year or so, but now I just want rid of it ASAP.
Anyone else starting to look at there Saxo as a money pit, and a waste of time compared to other cars??

You see, even when mines running fine and clean I still want something else! I Just know there crap basicaly, you won't get any money back from it being modified. IE if you modify a VR6 Golf, or an Ibiza Cupra well you can ask for more money than when it's standard were as you can't with the saxo. Guess I'm just bored of the whole saxo scene. Nobody IMO does anything different, there all just different colour R/S wheels!!

I'm bored of cars tbh. Considering something like a 5 series, Passat or a6 as my next car. No wankers trying to race me and nice bit of luxury.

I hate mine and then love it on other days. Atm I hate it. Just the constant problems with misfiring is pissing me off. No matter what I replace, I still have one. Grrr. Plus the look of the saxo is boring now.

Don't think I'll ever fall out of love with my saxo.
Although a new car is beckoning next year, I'll be keeping the saxo as well

Haha, there multi fitment alloys, 4x108 and 4x100 so I can stick them on my next car, but I can save the custom 25mm front and 50mm rear spacers for you? Then you can buy the wheels your self! :)

Same reason really, I'm looking at an Ibiza Cupra, or a Lupa GTI. Something well built that I can make look good and know it's reliable at the same time, and also I'm less likely to die in a crash. :P

I used to love my saxo but everything has been going wrong with it in the last few months i've been paying out my arse and to top the whole lot off i was broken into last night and the c**ts took all my ICE and my entire collection of DnB which i had in the boot:cry: . not in the mood for doing anything else really just want to buy a nice solid and secure car that won't let me down.

I would go for the Ibiza. Lupo GTI's tend to have Gearbox and Pedal box problems.
I love my Saxo but I'm constantly looking for different cars. Don't think I'll sell it for at least another year but that opinion is likely to change at least 3 times today!!
If I haven't driven it for a couple of days I get a bit down on it and look for other cars but then I jump in it and its such a hoot to drive and I re-discover my love for it. Plus I'm getting it closer and closer to how I want it, and I've spent so much on it its not worth selling LMAO!

i was thinking this the other day.....but not how you were/are/whatever
i was thinking is there any point in modding the saxo, spend money on it, when you can save up for the car you have always dreamed of (mine being the Evo 8 or 9).
But then i thought.....modding is just about modding....not who has the fastest car and can do the 1/4 in 10 seconds or less....its about the fun of the drive....and while ill always love Evo's, me getting one probably wont happen.
i could afford one and save over the years, get no claims up etc, but insurance, running cost etc, and i know the insurance will be down abit but no alot, so all that would kill my money really. Im hoping to have a place of my own by the time i can afford an Evo....so maybe modding the VTR isnt such a bad idea.....all you have to do is look after the car
right now, i plan on keeping the VTR for a long time. It only has 25k on the clock, 2 previous owners, and everything is going good....no faults yet... touch wood.
Ive always loved Saxo's and still do....just the same thought crossed my mind last week...and what ive posted is what i think now.....

i have thought about it yes but then i look at the good points of it. nippy little car does everything and more i want the car to do. does not stand me in at anything, its totally mine.. insurance is less the 350 a year and i can make it look different for few quid, so if you get board change it...
