work in Currys or Comet or similiar electrical stores.....

Just bought some leads to connect my iPhone into my HiFi and they came in that dodgy plastic packaging that you have to cut to open to get the leads out......All in all...leads dont fit.

Can I take them back after opening the plastic packaging?

No........

They will ask you for further costs of £56.73 to cover administration charges.

Should be ok as long as you're exchanging them for the right lead.

Retailers just tend to send opened bits back to the suppliers for re-packaging

Is it a 2.5mm mini jack to 2x phono leads you need or is it a digital transfer?

Its 3.5mm jack leads like regular Ipods.......but the connection port has a lip on it to stop other leads fitting other than Apple iPhone leads.....Apple have 1 over on me

Bastards! They will be about 4 times as expensive as a standard lead as well, no doubt!

Even says on the reciept...."opened items will not be eligible for refunds"

Nah, if you have an iPhone they already have too many over on you to count. The lip round the headphone jack is just the icing on the cake! (although tbh you can trim some rubber off the headphone cable and it should still fit)

If the lass in store told you it'd fit and it doesnt, thats grounds for a refund anyway id think?
EDIT: apparently not, bloody blisterpacks, try trimming the cable a bit then since you own it now :err:

Walk in and start shouting! I would argue my case if I'd been wrongly sold an item.

You walk into shop, ask for a lead for a specific purpose, sales person sells you lead, you trust and open to try, lead doesn't fit, you walk back in with Ruddy and Gavcolliflower and demand your refund, manager refuses, Team GavRuddifer pull something special out of the bag....

Refund issued, carnage in store, you go home and get raped by Apple for the correct lead, so you can listen to your EmoTunes.

We all live happily ever after

The End
