View Full Version : dash lights go dim when playing music???

just noticed the other night when driving home... had music on, pretty loud... and with every beat the dash lights would dim, then go bright, dim then bright. is this normal?

yea pretty normal...take you have some sort of amp??

yeh got an amp and sub etc. its just i've never noticed it before... and then the day after i had a flat battery and didnt know if it was because was playing music so loud and it was draining battery & causing lights to dim??

You need to put a good battery on and uprate "the big 3" to stop lights going dim:y:

i had that problem in my old punto the fuel gauge used to bounce aswell lol! i was told to use a capacitor.

they do bot all, uprate the earth or/and battery

get a better battery or a power cap , worked for me

A power cap will mean your lights are dim all the time!!

Just uprate the power cables as pred said, as this will minimize dimming.

Just make sure you pick the right capacitor or you may find yourself in the wild west!
