The Queen has launched her own channel on the video-sharing website YouTube.

The Royal Channel will feature her Christmas Day message as well as recent and historical footage of the monarch and other members of the Royal Family.

The launch marks the 50th anniversary of the Queen's first televised festive address in 1957.

The palace said it hoped the site would make the 81-year-old monarch's annual speech "more accessible to younger people and those in other countries".

Christmas Message will be available from 3pm Christmas Day.

I think this is pretty decent, as anything to attempt to pull the nation together in a British tradition is warming. However, I doubt many people will watch it.

Any thoughts?

Since the announcement of the Queens speech on christmas day via youtube, stocks fell 200% within minutes and are still continuing to fall, at this rate youtube shares will be free to all people over 95.

people dont realy like the queen etc etc etc but the monarchy does a lot for this country.. i think its a good idea, keeps her in touch with other nations etc etc

as i do every dam year i make a joke out of it with the family and friends lol

trust me guys DO THIS

mute the TV whilst she is doing the speach and do your voice over it in your own words hahaha you'll be suprised how funny it gets hahaha.everyone joins in with there own sentance and after a while it ends up the queen talking about sex and perverts on the streets hahahaha LMFAO.

makes her speaches a hell of alot more fun.
