reverse lightd

one of mates told me the other day i had no reverse lights working, so next day it was in workshop where i work to put new bulbs in but when we looked the bulbs were ok so looked at fuses they were ok. after more inspection it turns out i never had reverse lights in the first place. i have NO harness or switch in engine bay! this has baffled me and my mate and he is a citroen mechanic!

Has anyone come across this before!!!!!!!!!!! any information would be helpful!!!!!!

hi love yes you have reverse lights but it might not necessarily be detected from on top of the reverse gear on the gearbox. there may be a switch by the gear lever. are you sure your mechanic cant find the harness? bit odd? chek for two plugs going to top of gearbox. if theres only one but theres a connection open on the gearbox someone has taken the plug off for a reason. check for tampered wiring. what year is your vt? im a citreon mechanic and have never seen this before without seeing what you can see>
