hi i just got my vts last week, my front disks are warped so gonna replace them, I heard front brakes (disks, calipers, pads) from a 206gti will fit straight on. is this true? what size disks are they and what size will my standard vts disks be? I assume they're vented?

Cheers
Graeme

standard vts front brakes are 247mm, 206 gti calieprs and discs will bolt stright on and are 266mm and fit under 14" alloys, or you can get gti6/206 gti 180 calipers and discs that are 283mm and bolt sright on after grinding a few mm of the caliper carrier and they fit under 15" alloys

I'v got 16" alloys, will the gti 180 stuff go straight on without grinding? I'll be able to pick them up cheapish. cheers

no the reason they need grinding is because the caliper carrier fouls the strut and wont allow the bolt holes to lign up so a few mm need grinding off the caliper carrier and then it allows the bolt holes to lign up perfectly, its completely safe
