i think the front 2 passenger windows have to let 70% of the light through and it is 75% for the windscreen, hope this helps :y:
Back windows as said already dark as you want them

Your not aloud to touch the front windows at all unless your car had tints before (cant remember the year).
Backones you can tint as much as u want.

Got my windows tinted Saturday, and asked for them to tint the front two windows too, but they said they won't touch them untill the new law comes through?
Though the back 3 windows are fine :y:

Spoke with a VOSA guy the other day, and he gave my mate a leaflet about window tints, regarding the law.
I do remember front tints are a big no. Cant remember about the sides, and rear side and rear are fine.
I'll get the leaflet tommorow.
Also though, with tinted windows you can be more prone to people smashing them to see whats inside. Not too applicable on a saxo though. Theyre not long enough for rears to block anything out from front view.

Wrong.
You are not allowed to tint your front windows.

I've had limo black on my rear windows then light smoke on my front sides... You can't really tell that anyone has a light smoke tint on though so maybe the car's you see have the same as mine!! I know a few people that have a dark smoke on the front windows though but I think they have constant police attention!!

By the way, I created a post about my tints earlier on!! The DOTS on my back windows, they make my tint look like there's a line around the outside that's been missed out... I've had people tell me to use a hairdryer and credit card to sort it, can anyone tell me if they've managed to get rid of this nasty looking line around their windows? Merry Christmas by the way!!

I thought it was a max of 30% on the front 2 windows and none on windscreen.

I just prefer having the back done and the front left alone

I read a load of websites and stuff before i got mine done, Found out that its the back 3 can have any but front cant have any.
This is because most manufactorers already tint the windows upto the 30% mark.
Well thats what i gathered from my research^

The windscreen and front side windows must allow at least 70% of
light to be transmitted through them.
Motor Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985:
